The Cascades Phase 1 Ribbon Cutting & Open House Celebration

The Cascades are the culmination of more than two decades of grassroots local efforts to bring about safe, community-oriented, affordable senior housing in Yellow Springs.
Resident input has driven all aspects of the project design, with the intention of creating a sense of caring and community. Residents will benefit from accessibility features, amenities, supportive service partnerships, walkability, pedestrian connectivity, green spaces, safety, affordability, energy efficiency, and a sense of community and belonging.
Phase 1 of The Cascades, consisting of eight one- and two-bedroom apartments, broke ground in August of 2024 and is rapidly nearing completion. Applications for the project have already been accepted and residents are being contacted to prepare for move-in this summer.
Yellow Springs Home, Inc. is ecstatic to invite you to join us for a ribbon cutting and open house celebration as we prepare to open these spaces to their new residents! There will be tours, refreshments, a program including information about the project and thanks to our many supporters, and of course, community!

The Cascades Phase 1 is located on East Herman Street in Yellow Springs, behind the Miami Township Fire Station and across the street from Friends Care Community.
