Yellow Springs Home, Inc. is seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA for 2023-2024
Yellow Springs Home, Inc. is committed to strengthening community and diversity in Yellow Springs and Miami Township by providing permanently affordable and sustainable housing through our Community Land Trust. Join our team to provide leadership in a supportive environment for capacity building to support mission growth, improved local housing options marketed and designed for diversity and inclusion, community relationship building and strategic partnerships, and expanded financial coaching and client empowerment programs. You will be mentored in many aspects of community and organizational development by a dedicated and energetic team. You will leave your year of service with the satisfaction of learning a great deal, contributing to lasting social justice, and gaining transferable skills to step confidently into your next challenge.
Hone your leadership, become a community ambassador, learn new skills, and contribute to a powerful local mission with roots in the Civil Rights Movement. Learn grant-writing, new technologies, project management, marketing and outreach, fundraising, data management, and more in a challenging, accepting, and fast-paced setting. Tasks for the Client-First Programs VISTA include work on expanding financial coaching and empowerment programs and developing client-first programming, including by being part of advancing local housing options marketed and designed for diversity and inclusion.
