     Thistle Creek (Phase Two)

Six  buyers are eagerly awaiting homes in the second phase at Thistle Creek (TC). Thistle Creek homes are under construction now and are anticipated to be finished within the next two months. TC is a community committed to energy efficiency and is using various techniques to minimize site impact. Thistle Creek Homes will utilize funding from OHFA and FHLB. Homes will be constructed by Stickelman-Brown, Inc.

We strive to use local contractors as much as possible including Jonathon Brown and Bob Zearfoss; also, will utilize volunteer labor.

Yellow Springs Home, Inc. was awarded almost $400,000 in subsidy from Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) with the help of the Yellow Springs Village Council.

 Yellow Springs Home has secured $432,248 in special 3.5% interest loans through Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) in partnership with Fifth Third Bank. Greene County Department of Development is offering down payment assistance to first time homebuyers, as well.

Phase One

The first phase included three new homes and one rehab. To view the three new homes click on the address: 310 South High Street, 1211 Xenia Avenue, and 503 Dayton Street.  The rehab house has been completed at 321 South High Street.

Our First Resale

Home, Inc. completed its first resale of a home on April 6th. The first owner of 321 N. High St. moved into a market rate home and resold the home through Home, Inc. to another income qualified buyer. No additional subsidy was used in this sale.
